Delighted to find out I've been award an International Development grant by Lancaster University to undertake more follow up research work with Ingrid Mida in Toronto this July. We'll be developing plans for a collaborative exhibition and working out how to develop the project into the next phase. We'll also be running a full day public workshop together at Contemporary Textiles Studio Co op at 401 Richmond St West, Toronto on 20th July.
The workshop - Drawing Habits – will introduce the practice of using drawing to examine historic textiles through a number of exercises to develop skills of attentive looking. We'll make a range of drawings moving from experimental exercises to sustained study and creative interpretation. More info here>>
