It has been an intense week of drawing, a luxury to have this time and focus with garments in an archive. This has made possible making detailed drawing of garments at life scale! What has been really fascinating, is drawingthe insides of garments that are normally hidden from view. However, as dress detective Ingrid Mida tells me, it is these parts that often are the most valuable to researchers, revealing clues to the garments construction alternation and wear. The drawings I've been making this week expose these innards of these 'bodies of knowledge'.
